Getting to Lyme & getting around

The closest airports to the beautiful town of Lyme are Providence, RI and Hartford, CT.  Both are about an hour drive from Lyme but the drive from Providence is much nicer if you have a choice of airports.

Unfortunately, public transportation is pretty scarce in the area so we recommend you rent a car (or carpool!).

If you’re flying in from abroad, Boston and New York are the best airport to fly into. Both cities are 3 to 4 hours from Lyme depending on traffic.  You can also take the Amtrack train to Old Saybrook or New London but you’ll need to find someone to come pick you up at the train station.

Here are some essential maps you might need.
